# OctetKeep Support and Updates Policy

## License and updates

OctetKeep paid local editions use a perpetual-license model unless an applicable order expressly states otherwise. Update and support entitlements are separate from the perpetual license.

## Security updates

Elementary Inc. maintains a vulnerability-handling process appropriate to the product and applicable law. Security updates may be issued during the supported period for the relevant edition.

## Support

Support scope, response targets and service levels are determined by the applicable edition, Order Form or Enterprise SLA. Free Web access does not create an enterprise support obligation.

## End of support period

An end date for updates or support does not by itself revoke a properly granted perpetual license. Legal or regulatory obligations that require continued support or security handling remain applicable.

## No telemetry requirement

Support and update eligibility does not require hidden product telemetry, device fingerprinting or a remote kill switch in the local forensic runtime.
